The Mayor visited for the TMG Charity Challenge

We were delighted to welcome Cllr Annie Brewster, Mayor of St Albans and District to present a cheque for £150 to the automotive charity BEN.   More below:

 

BANGERS AND CASH FOR THE TRUST MY GARAGE CHARITY CHALLENGE

The Trust My Garage Charity Challenge has raised £8,500 for the automotive charity BEN and they chose to visit a friendly Garage in Redbourn.  Cllr Annie Brewster, Mayor of St Albans City and District attended to present a cheque for £150 to this deserving cause.

The ‘Southern Softies’ and the ‘Northern Numpties’ competed during the week-long event to visit as many Trust my Garage sites as possible, using only the TMG website as a route planner.   The teams drove cars that were nearing the end of their road lives.

Redbourn Auto Solutions were proud supporters of this great event.  They are a local and highly experienced garage with an ethos of keeping it independent to provide the best service or repair at an affordable price.

The team are all former main dealership, so know the importance of professionalism, experience and customer service.  The highly trained team have an aim of exceeding customer expectations.

Nigel Williams, BEN’s commercial manager commented on the event, “This is an excellent way to support the industry charity and help increase awareness in the independent sector.” He added “Huge thanks to Redbourn Auto Solutions and St Albans Mayor, Annie Brewster, for presenting the cheque”

The Mayor said “What a brilliant way for the industry to support itself.  I enjoyed hearing how those working within the independent sector have directly benefitted from Ben’s Charity and applaud Redbourn Autos for sponsoring the challenge.”
